Legal Justification
This Contract extension will allow NHSBT to undertake:• in-depth market engagement to ensure innovation is accounted for• a robust tender and system evaluation process• a validation process for potential replacement systems to ensure that the system(s) meets NHSBT operational and technical requirements.All of which will facilitate the incorporation and alignment of multiple therapies (currently under separate contracts) and encompass NHSBT's therapeutic Apheresis Service's longer term requirements for the supply and support of new and existing Apheresis therapy systems, the NHSBT PIN notice can be found here:https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/020287-2023
