Description
The Borough Council of Bolton (the Lead Authority) on behalf of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Bury Council, Oldham Borough Council, Rochdale Borough Council and Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council (known as “Adoption Now) is prepared to receive tenders for an Adoption Now Therapeutic Services Flexible Purchasing System, which will be subject to the information, specification and tender package enclosed. The Flexible Purchasing System will comprise of selected therapeutic service providers for adopted children and adoptees. These services are mostly funded through The Adoption Support Fund. Families will be assessed for suitability by Adoption Now. It will be split into 4 Lots: Lot 1 – Psychotherapy Lot 2 – Family Therapy Lot 3 – Creative Therapy Lot 4 – Specialist Assessments
Lot Division
1 | Psychotherapy Lot 1) Psychotherapy - delivery of an intervention identified as a result of an assessment, to support children and individuals to gain deeper insight into the issues they face, express and process their feelings in a safe and supportive relationship, and develop strategies to cope and heal from trauma. We expect Service Providers to hold the relevant professional qualifications from a recognised body, to deliver the identified therapeutic support. |
2 | Family Therapy Lot 2) Family Therapy – delivery of an intervention identified as a result of an assessment, to identify and address issues within a family, improve communication, build stronger relationships, and enable the family to move on from their problems. We expect Service Providers to hold the relevant professional qualifications from a recognised body, to deliver the identified therapeutic support. This Lot includes Parent training courses. |
3 | Creative Therapy Lot 3) Creative Therapy - delivery of an intervention identified as a result of an assessment, to offer a safe space, creative materials, and activities to help children and individuals explore, understand, and process their feelings through creative arts, and make positive changes in their life. We expect Service Providers to hold the relevant professional qualifications from a recognised body, to deliver the identified therapeutic support. |
4 | Specialist Assessments Lot 4) Specialist Assessments – delivery of an assessment of need which requires a more specialist skill set or discipline which cannot be delivered within Adoption Now resources. We expect Service Providers to hold the relevant professional qualifications from a recognised body, to undertake the assessment, which must be led and delivered by a professional (professional oversight only is not permitted) and result in a therapeutic plan for a child or family. |
