City and Hackney Stop Smoking Service

The London Borough of Hackney and City of London would like to commission a provider to provide a Stop Smoking Service. The Stop Smoking Service will provide clinical support to smokers in Hackney and the City of London to help them quit smoking. The Stop Smoking Service will engage in outreach and engagement activities with a particular focus on engaging high prevalence and hard to reach communities within Hackney and the City of London. The Service will work in conjunction with a Stop Smoking Community Outreach and Engagement Officer within the City and Hackney Public Health Team who will facilitate and coordinate engagement activities with targeted communities. There will be an initial three year contract with two optional annual extensions. At the point of tender publication on 05/09/2023 the overall maximum value for the service was £3.6 million. Following Central Government Announcements in October 2023, it should be noted that additional funding of up to £375,000 per annum may be available for this service. Specific commitments including funding amount and the delivery model of any additional service elements cannot yet be made but will be negotiated with the winning bidder after the point of contract award.
