Description
Bristol City Council (BCC) owns and operates two large onshore wind turbines and a solar farm. The power output from these is sleeved to nominated BCC buildings under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), creating a virtual self-supply. As the power output from these systems falls below the thresholds set out in the Electricity (Class Exemptions from the Requirement for a Licence) Order 2001, BCC should qualify for the appropriate licence exemptions.
CPV Codes
- 79100000 - Legal services
Indicators
- Contract is suitable for SMEs.
- Contract is suitable for VCOs.
Other Information
As such, BCC should not be liable to pay levies obligated on licenced suppliers. However, these exemptions need to be registered with the appropriate authorities before our sleeving supplier is able to apply the appropriate discount. It is the registration of these exemptions under the Regulations that we are seeking support for. Interested providers should complete and submit the Soft Market Testing form via ProContract before 12:00 on 10th November 2023.
