The Council have attempted to reprocure the above service via a mini competition framework, with the support of Staffordshire County Council's Procurement Team, however, the attempt was unsuccessful, as it had no response from a suitable supplier. The Council cannot operate a large number of its Streetscene services without an experienced plant and equipment maintenance provider, it is therefore implementing a direct award contract to its incumbent supplier, while it attempts to reprocure a longer-term contract and will be completed via a full procurement process. The procurement process will again be undertaken with the support of Staffordshire County Council's procurement team.
