THIS IS A NOTICE ON BEHALF OF HAMPSHIRE AND ISLE OF WIGHT FIRE RESCUE AUTHORITY
Total Quantity or Scope
The provision of flash hoods will cover a roll out to blanket issue a set of 2 per Firefighter (FF) and Crew Manager (CM) and 1 per Watch Manager (WM) (with the option to indent for an additional hood if required). There will also be an allocation for specialist roles, for example, Hazardous Material Advisors (HMA) and live fire trainers. • The hoods must be manufactured to comply with EN139-11, ISO 11999-9:2016 • The hood must conform to NFPA 1971: 2018 o including additional Performance Requirements for Optional Structural Fire Fighting Protective Hood Interface Components Providing Particulate Protection" • The hood must not contain PFAS (perfluorinated or polyfluorinated alkyl substances), including PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene)

Other Information
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire Rescue Authority undertook an Open Procedure to award to a supplier to provide non-PTFE Particulate Barrier Flash Hoods. This will be a single-supplier contract. The contract will be for an initial period of 3 years, with 2 further 1 year extension options available. The contract has a maximum value of £360,000 A Price per Quality Point method was used to establish the most economically advantageous tender. The Tenderers price was divided by the total quality score and the lowest Price per Quality Point awarded the contract. Testing had a 400 point allocation and Method Statement Questions has a 100 points allocation, making the % weightings 80% and 20% respectively.
