Description

Orbit Group Ltd wishes to provide advance notification to the market of a forthcoming tender opportunity for the provision of servicing, maintenance, and installation/repairs for Security Equipment & Systems installed across its residential and communal properties. The opportunity has been split into the following LOTS and geographical UK area(s): LOT 1 – 1 (one) contractor supporting across the Midlands Region LOT 2 – 1 (one) contractor supporting the East and South-East Regions Contractors will be able to bid for both LOTS however, they can only be awarded one LOT. It will also be an expectation that each contractor supports the other region if/when work demands dictate so the capacity to support all regions is to be a requirement. This PIN relates to early market engagement only and is NOT a call for competition (procurement tender documents are not available at this time). Any contracts for these services may be subject to separate procurement processes in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended). All participants in this event shall be responsible for their own costs (including third party costs) and the Contracting Authority shall have no liability to any participant.

Total Quantity or Scope

The provision of these services will relate to works carried out in all Orbit residential and communal properties across its property portfolio in the UK geographies of the Midlands, the East and South-East. Orbit Group manages over 46,000 affordable and social rent homes across these areas and support over 100,000 customers in differing stages of life, from those seeking their first home to customers looking for enhanced supported living. Orbit’s aim is to ensure the homes provided and the places created are good quality, affordable and safe. Orbit are also one of the UK’s largest developers of affordable housing, building over 5,300 new homes by 2025. Portfolio: Midlands – 21,694 properties East – 6,864 properties South-East – 17,610 properties Potential contractors who have the capability to provide servicing, maintenance, and installation/repairs to fulfil each of the below key in-scope systems within Orbit’s portfolio, are invited to express their intent: • Door Entry / Access Control Systems • Automated Door-Gate Systems, Barriers, Bollards and Shutters • CCTV Systems • Intruder Alarms • Warden Call Systems Other Requirements: • 24/7/365 Emergency/Reactive Response with attendance within 4 hours • Fully qualified and accredited engineers • First time fix with minimum disruption • Telephone/Technical support Potential contractors who respond to the PIN and complete the attached questionnaire may be invited to an interview to explore the market potential to fulfil these requirements. Inclusion of any potential contractor in any engagement entails no obligation on the part of the Contracting Authority concerning the award or conclusion of any contract. All ‘Expressions of Interest’ must be submitted through the Orbit Pro-Contract ‘Housing Procurement Portal’ (https://www.housingprocurement.com) by fully completing and uploading the document attached to the portal ‘Expression of Interest Response Document - Security Equipment & Systems’ by no later than 17.00 (GMT) on 1st December 2023.
