Description
The proposed contract will be for the outsourced provision of Grounds Maintenance Services to the Trust. The successful Bidder shall establish effective management and operational level communication systems at all levels regarding the grounds maintenance service with the Trust. In addition, the Bidder will also be responsible for all legal, and health and safety requirements in delivering the services. The Contract will include the purchase of equipment to support the delivery of the grounds maintenance service

Further information about Question 1 Question: - Chudleigh School- Recycling of all organic matter, please provide more detail on the work required and frequencies? Answer: This is being checked. Question: - Colyton School – Pond maintenance, please provide more detail on what level on maintenance is expected? Answer: The school have confirmed this is no longer required, the spec will be updated and republished. Question: - Document 2: 8.13, states “No pitch markings shall be burnt in……” in line with current legislation. Bere Alston School’s core specification details a requirement to initial mark with herbicide, please confirm if this is incorrect? Answer: The Trust have confirmed the Bere Alston core specification needs updating, this will be actioned and an updated spec will be republished. Question: - Document 2: 8.12 & 8.13 note the that “ The contractor shall overmark pitches once during the season, as arranged with the site manager, at 50mm wide and are clearly visible from 30m”. Please clarify, are the pitches to be clearly visible from 30m immediately after the marking has taken place or is visibility to be maintained throughout the season? Thanks Answer: The visibility is immediately after the marking has taken place. If the school require further markings these can be requested by the school.
