Description
Ayrshire and Arran Health Board is inviting interested parties to submit a business case for the provision of primary medical services under a General Medical Services Contract for Galston Medical Practice. The full Invitation to Submit a Business Case document and further details are available in the additional documents section of this notice.
Total Quantity or Scope
Ayrshire and Arran Health Board (more commonly known as NHS Ayrshire and Arran) (“NHS Ayrshire and Arran”) (“the Health Board”) is seeking expressions of interest from any parties interested in providing primary medical services to patients in Galston, Newmilns, Darvel, Hurlford, Waterside, Moscow, Auchencloigh, Crookedholm and Priestland. This requirement has arisen due to a practice vacancy for providing Primary Medical Services located at 5A Henrietta Street, Galston to a list of approximately 6,143 patients. NHS Ayrshire and Arran wishes to select a new service provider with the capacity and capability to meet the needs of these patients by delivering high quality, patient-centred clinical services in a primary care setting, all in accordance with NHS Ayrshire and Arran’s requirements set out in the attached additional documents. The services will build on existing best practice and focus on a community and health and social care approach. The clinical services will be delivered in an environment that provides patient care of a standard consistent with that of similar services provided elsewhere within NHS Ayrshire and Arran. It will be important that Tenderers involved in the planning and/or delivery of existing schemes and services can demonstrate and evidence that they have sufficient capacity so as not to prejudice delivery of Primary Medical Services under any other contract a Tenderer may have with NHS Ayrshire and Arran or pre-existing schemes or the ability of NHS Ayrshire and Arran itself to deliver services. The successful Tenderer will be required to enter into a contract with NHS Ayrshire and Arran on the terms of the General Medical Services Contract (“GMS Contract”) the form of which is prescribed by The National Health Service (General Medical Services Contracts) (Scotland) Regulations 2018, as amended, or replaced from time to time. Performance by the successful Applicant under the terms of the GMS Contract will be subject to these Regulations available at http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2018/66/contents/made
