Description

Southern Water Services Limited (SWS) are looking to appoint a single OFGEM registered framework provider capable to supply electricity to their Half-Hourly Electricity Portfolio, together with a range of associated services. The supply commencement date under the new contract is to be 1st of April 2025. Main objectives to be achieved through this competitive procurement are (but not limited to) continuity of supply, optimized quality and value of services offered, partnership relationship with the provider.

Total Quantity or Scope

SWS's Half Hourly Electricity Portfolio consists of around 600 supply points with total annual usage circa 370GWh. The supply is to commence on 1 April 2025. Historically, SWS's HH electricity demand shape could be considered flat/stable. The renewable generation is likely to increase during the term of this framework agreement, but the overall demand has potential to increase as well. Any significant demand fluctuations or changes expected during the term of supply will be shared with supplier as soon as practicable. The objective of the competitive procurement procedure is to appoint a supplier that offers flexible products, stability of supply and security and transparency of the supply chain. The best tender offer is to represent best value and quality of service as per tender requirements. The scope of tender incorporates non-domestic half hourly electricity supply and associated services, including (but not limited to) contract & billing management, performance management & reporting, legislation and market updates, asset services if applicable, innovations, green energy services and sleeving. The awarded supplier is expected to work collaboratively with SWS to deliver the scope, as well as with SWS's appointed MOP DC/DA provider and a third party trading partner appointed by SWS.
