Description
The Ministry of Defence (MOD), UK Space Command (UKSC) and UK Space Agency (UKSA) joint project BOREALIS has been initiated to develop the core systems for a civil-military National Space Operations Centre (NSpOC). The required software will generate Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Space Command and Control, combining and coordinating civilian and military capabilities to enable all Space Operations. For project BOREALIS, rapid, flexible, iterative development of a capability to meet the evolving demands of operators in a rapidly changing domain will be central to successful delivery. Project BOREALIS will therefore be delivered utilising Agile development principles, such as regular sprints to detail and manage priorities and a backlog. The Authority does not intend on mandating the specific agile methodology, interested parties are to propose this as part of the tendering process. Estimated value of requirement: Category B £42M - £70M (ex VAT). Note: The value provided within this notice represents an estimated value of the Contract. The total cumulative value of work placed through the Contract may be above or below this figure See attachment 20231023-70266450-BOREALIS_Contract Notice V1.1 for further information.
