Description

Ionad Hiort is a charitable body formed in 2010 by members of the Uig community. The St Kilda Centre project involves the creation of a 7.3m GBP new-build visitor centre on a 6.5ha former military site at Uig on the Western Isles, including exhibition fit-out, parking, footpaths and other site infrastructure. The centre will utilise innovative digital and remote access technologies to tell the story of St Kilda's people and culture, preserving the fragile environment of St Kilda and recognizing the unique indigenous Gaelic culture, natural and scenic assets.
