The Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust are looking to procure building work including the design and construction of a new plantroom/pump house and design and installation of a car park fire suppression sprinkler system to the under-croft car park of its Catkin Centre and Sunflower House building. The Catkin & Sunflower is the Trust’s new Children and Young Persons mental health hub. The building has an outpatients facility that operates Monday - Friday and a 12 bedroom in patient unit that operates on a 24-7 basis. On completion of the building the local fire and rescue service made a recommendation to install a sprinkler system to its new car park.

Other Information

Although the building has recently been completed this will be treated as a retrospective installation.The contractor is responsible for the full development of the proposals included within this pack including the appointment of any of the specialists listed in the pricing document to complete the design of the full system including the pump house and any further work required to complete the installation. The car park will remain temporarily closed until the installation is completed but Contractors must factor into the design and planning of the works that the building will always remain operational during the installation.Please allow for a High hazard classification sprinkler system.
