Description

The Scottish Government has committed to providing additional funding in the form of Pupil Equity Funding (PEF), to schools as part of the Scottish Attainment Challenge programme. This funding is allocated directly to schools and is aimed at closing the poverty related attainment gap. The aim of this framework agreement is to allow schools to contract compliantly with providers who will be able to support the pupil equity fund.

Lot Division

1 Activity Based Learning

Providing a service which engages and encourages pupils to learn through the participation in non-academic activities and experiences. These may include but are not necessarily limited to outdoor learning, residential, sports and social activities.

2 Counselling, Therapy, Support and Advice Services

Services which provide professional assistance, guidance and support in resolving personal or psychological problems. These may include but are not limited to group and/or one to one work with pupils or families, counselling, mediation and services to promote good mental wellbeing. Services may also include therapy including but not limited to play and music therapy.

3 Creative Engagement

Those services which focus on engaging pupils and learning through creative activities. Services may include but are not solely limited to music, art, drama and dance.

4 External Experts

External expert service provision whereby working alongside teaching staff, knowledge and skills will be used to enhance the curriculum. This support may be provided through teacher training, classroom observations, assistance with class lessons and working with pupils on a group or one to one basis. Experts will provide a high degree of specific professional knowledge in areas including but not limited to; resilience coaching, literacy and numeracy. However, please note that this does not incorporate literacy interventions and numeracy interventions which are covered by Lots 7 and 8 respectively.

5 Pupil Workshops

Provision of services which engage pupils on a particular subject, activity or project through discussion, performance or participation in class(es) dedicated to the project or activity. This service may include but is not limited to mindfulness, yoga, confidence building, nurture, STEM, diversity and health and wellbeing.

6 Staff Training

Training provision for staff in areas including but not necessarily limited to motivational workshops, team building, management and leadership.

7 Staff Training

Services that provide evidence-based literacy interventions that could be used to close the poverty related attainment gap. These may include but will not necessarily be limited to literacy programmes, online resources and staff training.

8 Numeracy Interventions

Services that provide evidence-based numeracy interventions that could be used to close the poverty related attainment gap. These may include but will not be limited to numeracy programmes, numeracy resources, online resources and staff training.

9 Vocational Training

Services related to vocational training courses and qualifications including but not necessarily limited to hair dressing, beauty, customer care and car repair.

Renewal Options

The Council will have sole discretion to extend for a period of 12 months plus a further 12 months.
