Legal Justification
In order to ensure service continuity, the authority requires to award the proposed contract to the existing service provider for a 12 month period, without prior publication. The authority appreciates there are economic operators who offer Acute Visiting Services, however the authority is not aware of any organisation that have the capability and/or capacity to implement the services in a 3 month period to offer a fully integrated service, partnering with various Sefton Primary and Acute healthcare providers, which is essential for the delivery of the proposed contract provision. The Authority will undertake a further review to determine the approach from April 2025. Therefore, following a 10 day standstill period, if the ICB receives no substantiated objections, the ICB aims to conclude the proposed contract with Go To Doc Limited on or after 5pm 12/01/2024.
