Total Quantity or Scope
This is a walk in service for the diagnosis and treatment of minor injuries including breaks, sprains and cuts. Patients are triaged, x-rayed if appropriate and treated for their injuries. There are provisions in place for re-directing the patient if their injury requires more specialist treatment. It is available to any patient, from 08:00-20:00 seven days a week. This service is effective at reducing attendances in ED departments locally. Additional information: In line with best practice, the Authority will adhere to a voluntary 10-day standstill period prior to concluding the contract with Herts Urgent Care.
