Description

NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB), hereby invites suitably qualified service providers to attend a Market Engagement event which will inform the market of the ICB’s intentions to commission Primary Care Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS).

Total Quantity or Scope

Please note the aim of this notice is to invite providers to a market engagement exercise and is not a call for competition. NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) hereby invites suitably qualified service providers to attend a Market Engagement event which will inform the market of the ICB’s intentions to commission Primary Care Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS). Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) is a contracting route to enable the commissioning of primary medical services. APMS contracts provide the opportunity for locally negotiated contracts. They allow contractual agreements with non-NHS bodies, such as voluntary or commercial sector providers (or with GMS/PMS practices), to supply enhanced and additional primary medical services. APMS contracts may be entered into with any individual or organisation to meet local needs, as long as core NHS values are fully protected and secured. The APMS can be used to provide: • Essential services • All additional services where GMS/PMS practices opt-out • All Enhanced Services commissioned by NHS England • Opening hours and service delivery from 0800-1830, Monday to Friday (except statutory bank and public holidays) • Participation in the Primary Care Network (PCN) Enhanced Service • Extended opening hours in line with requirements of the PCN. The Market Engagement event will take place virtually on Monday 15th January 2024 from 12:00 to 13:30. The event will offer a further opportunity to engage with stakeholders and for prospective service providers to learn more about the services. The procurement process and timetable will also be shared. To register interest in attending the engagement event please go to https://attain.bravosolution.co.uk/web/login.html . Click on 'Register here' and follow the onscreen instructions. The relevant documentation will be available within the 'SQ_98 Market Engagement Event - Primary Care Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) for Forest Surgery' project. The closing date for registering attendance is 12pm on 10th January 2024. Please Note: Any expenditure, work or effort undertaken by you prior to any subsequent procurement is a matter solely for your own commercial judgment. The ICB reserves the right to withdraw from the process at any time or to not tender the service(s) or to tender on a different basis. In such circumstances, and in any event, the ICB and/or its advisors shall not be liable for any costs or loss of expenses whatsoever incurred by any organisation, agent or subsidiary that may have contributed to any proposals submitted to this notice. Attain is conducting this market engagement exercise as agent for and on behalf of the ICB and will be the main point of contact. Under no circumstances should providers approach the ICB.
