Legal Justification
This contract will enable the Local Authority to meet its duty to provide overnight respite for Children in Need. Referrals to the existing overnight respite framework providers for children and young people with complex needs are commonly declined due to their challenging behaviour. This contract will offer a specialist provision for this cohort as an interim solution as the contracted provider is unable to apply to join the open framework as they do not currently meet the minimum requirement of "Good" Ofsted rating as they are a new setting and have not yet been inspected.
