Description

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the "Council") is conducting this procurement process using the open procedure in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 ("PCR"). Tenders are invited by the Council from Suppliers with relevant experience and ability to demonstrate sufficient capacity for the provision for the Littondale Estate Woodland Creation (the "Services"). The requirement is to supply, plant and protect in total 29,555 of various trees and shrubs on land at Litton, Littondale, North Yorkshire. The purpose of the scheme is to establish a total area of 31.26ha of new native woodland, during the period of November 2023 and March 2024.

Total Quantity or Scope

Invitations to Tender will be advertised and managed through the regional procurement portal, which was available at the address set out in the Contract Notice (https://yortender.eu-supply.com/login.asp? B=YORTENDER (https://yortender.eusupply.com/login.asp?B=YORTENDER)). Interested economic operators for the service had to express their interest in this opportunity via YORtender, by downloading the documentation and submitting their full tender response by the deadline detailed in the notice. Bidders submitted their Tender Submission Document and Pricing Schedule together by the deadline for initial tenders. Bidders who fail to satisfy the minimum requirements stipulated in the SQ were eliminated from the process and not subject to further evaluation. Tenders were invited by the Council from Suppliers with relevant experience and ability to demonstrate sufficient capacity for the provision for the Littondale Estate Woodland Creation (the "Services"). … The anticipated commencement date for the Contract is dependent on the completion of the Fencing work that is required prior to planting. We hope this Contract will commence late November/ early December 2023 but this can be discussed. Ideally, the anticipated expiry date for the Contract is 31st March 2024 (after the tree planting season) but should the weather or unforeseeable events effect the planting program, we have allowed for an 18month extension to allow the successful Tenderer to complete in the following planting season (November 2024 - March 2025).
