Suitable for: SMEs YES Description/Scope of the procurement: There is an enduring requirement for an economic, clinically, and environmentally safe and assured Secondary Healthcare (SHC) service for British Forces Cyprus (BFC) and Sovereign Base Area Administration (SBAA) entitled population at risk (PAR). This is inclusive of Military personnel, Civil Servants, certain Contractors, and UK Family Members. The MOD has a statutory duty to deliver an assured and governed consistent healthcare provision that is commensurate to the UK standard (NHS). The SHC services shall be available 365 days a year and 24 hours per day. The MOD is seeking a provider (or providers) who hold the following accreditations or will hold by contract start date: International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). ISOs are the gold standard benchmarked against the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Defence Medical Services Regulator (DMSR) Defence Healthcare Regulations DMS(R) RAs. As Cyprus1 is a full member of International Organisations for Standardisation, the provider(s) must confirm they are compliant or will be compliant at the start of the contract with those ISOs listed below or equivalent standards. Those hospitals with other equivalent international accreditation standards (to those ISOs defined below) such as, JCI2, GHA3 or Temos4, will be assessed openly and equally during the tender process.
