Description

Financial Lives Survey Lot 1. The survey is biennial, with the work required to plan, run and report the survey lasting 2 years. This contract covers Waves 2, 3 and 4 of the Financial Lives programme. The Lot 1 Supplier is required to programme and host the survey, including a full pilot, and provide the survey data cleaned and with weights appended, ready for producing data tables.

Legal Justification

The Covid pandemic necessitated a change in survey methodology in 2022, with large-scale in-home interviewing not possible. For this reason Wave 3, and now Wave 4, of the Financial Lives survey will follow a different methodology to preceding waves and the in-home survey will be replaced with a telephone survey. There are a number of benefits associated with one supplier conducting both pieces of fieldwork in terms of sampling, weighting, data merging, costs and timescales.
