Description

Gateshead Council's current storage area network (SAN) is coming to the end of its supported life; this contract opportunity is to refresh our current live and Data Recovery (DR) site HPE Nimble SAN appliances and support with a fit-for-purpose replacement HPE solution. The Council propose to move our current DR site form Gateshead Central Library to the Northern Design Centre as part of our requirements. The Council's IT Services will decommission the current DR site at Gateshead Central Library once the new solution is fully tested and live. Ample rack space, cooling and power is available at both sites to support the deployment of new equipment.

Total Quantity or Scope

The Council requires, as part of our requirements, a fully managed service for the implementation and migration from our current storage devices to the new storage devices. A Hardware Fault Rectification Break-fix and Software Support Service is required over the term of the contract for all equipment at both sites. The aim is to provide the Council with an efficient and effective SAN for the next 5 - 7 years.

Renewal Options

New contract will be an initial 60 month term with the option to extend for a further 24 months.
