Stoke-on-Trent City Council require an external Operator to oversee the tennis provision within six of the city's parks, including the management of the tennis courts and the development of tennis provision within the city. • The portfolio of Venues/Tennis Courts that require management by the successful operator are: Burslem Park (ST6 1EA) 2 Tennis Courts (not floodlit) Bucknall Park (ST2 8AA) 3 Tennis Courts (not floodlit) Hanley Park (ST1 4DX) 4 Tennis Courts (floodlit) Mount Pleasant Park (ST4 4PP) 2 Tennis Courts (not floodlit) Tunstall Park (ST3 4AZ) 2 Tennis Courts (not floodlit) Queen's Park (Longton) (ST6 6EE) 3 Tennis Courts (not floodlit) Aims for tennis in Stoke-on-Trent through the full management operator model are: - Increase tennis participation levels in parks - Successfully track and monitor usage levels to gain an understanding of supply and demand - Provide a variety of programmes for a number of targeted groups, to enable more residents to access tennis (walking tennis/tennis with Parkinson's etc.) - Provide volunteer opportunities for young people to become tennis activators and develop through a mentoring programme - Ensure the Tennis Courts remain sustainable and accessible for all; providing high quality and accessible facilities that receive suitable maintenance when required. - Utilise an online booking system to enable residents to easily book the tennis facilities.
