Description

Major Adaptations within the Borough of Trafford are funded through the Disabled Facilities Grant. This is for all types of domestic properties across the borough regardless of tenure and ownership. The purpose of the Major Adaptations Service is to ensure that disabled Trafford Residents who meets the criteria of their assessed needs can attain a high level of independence whilst residing in their own home. For example access to bathing facilities. A - Design, Build and manage, Adaptations including e.g., Bathrooms ‘Wash and Dry WC’, Hard standings & Ramps B - Design, Downstairs Living, extensions & conversions

STAR Procurement Service is a Public Partnership (Joint Committee) created by Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Rochdale Councils and is the shared procurement service supporting each of these Councils in the procurement of its Supplies, Services and Works This contract is let by Trafford Council as lead Authority for the collaborative framework Major Adaptations. The framework Agreement is open to all members of STAR – Rochdale Council, Tameside Council, Stockport Council, St. Helens Council & Knowsley Council. Tenders are invited by STAR procurement, on behalf of Trafford Council (the “Council”), from Organisations with relevant experience and ability to demonstrate sufficient capacity for providing major adaptations (the Works)
