1 Carriageway Surface Dressing Binder

The supply and application of carriageway surface dressing intermediate polymer modified binder in conjunction with the Employer’s operatives who will carry out the application of surface dressing chippings. Following completion of A’ and B’ Class roads a further bituminous finishing spray will be applied to seal the newly surfaced dressed carriageway.

5 Spray Injection Patching – Pre Surface-Dressing and Revenue Works

The provision of plant, equipment, and operatives only to undertake a programme of spray injection patching at various sites within the Dumfries and Galloway region, focusing on serving as a pre-surface dressing programme and Revenue works. All bituminous material and 6mm chippings required for spray injection patching will be supplied by Dumfries and Galloway Council. The works required shall include the provision, set up, maintenance and removal of all associated equipment and material for the Council’s Roads operational areas as required throughout the duration of the contract. Any Traffic Management should it be required will be provided by the Council. Three patching units to be provided throughout contract period.

6 Spray Injection Patching – Responsive Capital Maintenance
  • Value: £4M

The provision of operated plant, general civil engineering, labour, and materials to undertake a programme of spray injection patching at various sites within the Dumfries and Galloway region, particularly focusing on serving a responsive capital maintenance service to target and address defects on the network. The works required shall include the provision, set up, maintenance and removal of all associated equipment and material for the Council’s Roads operational areas as required throughout the duration of the contract. All materials required for spray injection patching will be supplied by the Contractor. Any Traffic Management should it be required will be provided by the Council.
