Total Quantity or Scope
Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) are seeking suppliers for the design and delivery of an evaluation of its National Capability for Behavioural Research (NCBR) programme, which runs from 2023 to 2028. NCBR aims to build world-leading capability in interdisciplinary behavioural research and is being delivered through a ‘hub and spokes’ model. ESRC has invested an initial £17 million to date in the ‘hub’ - Behavioural Research UK (BR-UK) – and a first spoke - Centre for Doctoral Training and Research Excellence in Understanding Behaviour (CENTRE-UB), a Centre for Doctoral Training Plus (CDT+). Further spokes are likely to be established. NCBR is a key strategic investment for ESRC, aiming to grow researcher capacity and generate policy and practice relevant research related to human behaviour that has real world impact. There are four key activity areas: connecting and strengthening relationships between academic and wider stakeholders; increasing the use and linkage of existing data and data infrastructure; advancing interdisciplinary research and innovation in theory and methods; and training and professional development.
