Description

The Council is looking for a principal contractor to undertake the refurbishment / upgrade works to the YMCA in Barnsley Town Centre as part of the Government funded Levelling Up Scheme.

Total Quantity or Scope

The YMCA is an operational site and the works include but are not limited to: Reroofing. External façade upgrades. Replacement of windows and doors. Replacement of shop fronts. 2 x New entrances ‒ Original building – there is to be a new entrance installed and the existing ramped entry and foyer is to be remodelled. ‒ Sports hall – a new entrance is to be created to provide direct, separate access to the sports hall. Alterations to existing utilities and services. Extend and relay surface car park. Refurbishment of changing/WC facilities including internal finishes (floors, walls, ceilings). Remodel existing layout to extend Chilypep kitchen facilities – demo and install new.
