Description
Dear Bidder, SES Water is looking to procure AMI meters and associated services and systems to deliver a smart metered network in its area from 2024 and into AMP8 completing its delivery by the start of AMP9. This PIN is for the provision of Smart water meters (household and non-household) and associated services for customers throughout SES Water's geographical area (map in SQ attachments). In this regard it is aiming to set up framework agreement(s) with reputable partner(s) with proven track record of providing Smart Network Services to support with our move to Smart Metering. This will support the delivery of our AMP8 2025-2030 plan and into the delivery of our AMP9 2030-2035 plan. This requirement will be for the following services: -Lot 1 Supply of smart meters with Head End system - The AMI meters required are concentric type in various sizes, inline internal meters and for non-household applications upto 50mm. The total number of meters to be provisioned are 265,000 estimated with a split of 80% for external meters. - Lot 2 Network Services Provision -Lot 3 Exchange and installation of meters -Lot 4-Smart Meter maintenance services - Lot 5- Meter data management system for collating and analysing meter data in support of the AMI contract - Consortium offering to cover one or more of the lots above. - Financing of the metering programme (Optional) All services are as required to meet our service level agreements for customer meter data. SES Water is open to the option of a relationship with a single Supplier. Where a partnership, alliance or similar is required to deliver the end-to-end service requirements, SES Water requires a lead bidder to be identified, whom the contractual relationship will be established with.

1 | AMI Water meters with head-end system This notice is for the provision of water meters (household and non household) , customers throughout SES Water's region. The AMI meters required are concentric type in various sizes, inline internal meters and for non-household applications. |
2 | Communication network providers This lot is for the provision of IOT network, fixed network or WAN providing data as a service to an agreed SLA regime across the whole SES Water customer base. |
3 | AMI Meter Installation and exchange services This lot is for the provision of AMI Smart meter installation (approx10%) and meter exchange (90%) programme with total volume estimated to 265,000 meters across SES Water's geographical area. Upgrade of visual read meter and AMR meters. The provision will include participating/leading in Customer journey with existing SES Water process. SES requires the options of suppliers with the offering of both installations or exchange. |
4 | Repair and maintenance of installed meters The service could include a managed service option starting with analysing the incoming data for connectivity and completeness. This would need to be triaged followed by a site visit where needed. The provision will include replacing faulty meters or resolving communication issues and may include some engagement within existing SES Water process. SES Water will consider options including and excluding plumbing requirements. |
5 | Meter Data Management System Provision of MDMS system which is agnostic to different meter brands and has ability to do basic data validation and present data insights with respect to continuous flow, usage , trends, network and device health parameters and other added value information in dashboard/ graphical or other user-friendly interface. The system must be able to integrate with SES Water data systems seamlessly. SES Water is also interested in customer facing application to support the positive change in water usage and communication with end users. |
