Description
This contract has been awarded under PSR Direct Award Process C
Total Quantity or Scope
To provide insourcing support for a range of surgical services in order to reduce waiting times to meet national requirements to treat long waiters. The provider has been successfully providing a safe, efficient and cost effective service to the Trust for a period of over 2 years and are fully integrated within the wider Trust services. This award is to the extend the contract for a short period of up to 4 months.The services are to be provided to patients aged 18 and over who are referred Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS FT (STH). This contract has been awarded under NHS Provider Selection Regime Direct Award C. One of the current incumbent suppliers is Medinet Clinical Services Ltd. They are currently meeting all contractual and legislative requirements as detailed in the NHS Standard Subcontract.The services will be provided under this contract for a maximum of 4 months from 1 April 2024 – 31 July 2024.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 12 April 2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.
