Description

Following the RIIO-2 Re-opener mechanism submitted to Ofgem and their subsequent Compressor Emissions Final Option Selection, National Gas Transmission (NGT) intends to invite suitable Economic Operators to pre-qualify and tender for the delivery of new compressor installation projects at high-pressure gas compression sites. The procurements relate to two UK locations, Wormington Compressor Site and St Fergus Terminal to ensure compliance with MCPD legislation (Medium Combustion Plant Directive) by 2030. The purpose of this PIN is to alert the market of National Gas Transmission's intention to formally commence procurement using lots (one for each location), subject to the further issue of a Contract Notice under UCR (2016).

Lot Division

1 Wormington

National Gas Transmission (NGT) intends to invite interest from suitable Economic Operators to pre-qualify and tender for the delivery of new compressor installation at high-pressure gas compression sites. The procurement relates to new compressor installation required at Wormington Compressor Site to ensure compliance with MCPD legislation (Medium Combustion Plant Directive) by 2030. The procurement will consist of a pre-qualification of Applicants, shortlisting those to be invited to tender for lots and then a competitive tender of those shortlisted for each lot. The future works will include but not be limited to; early feasibility design, detailed design, engineering procurement, construction and commissioning of *1 new compressor unit at Wormington. New compressor train equipment will be procured separately by National Gas Transmission and free-issued to the installation contractors procured via this procurement event. Following the completion of the tender evaluation period, Contracts will be awarded for the Works (Design-and-Build) to the successful Contractor(s) LOT 1 for Wormington.

2 St Fergus

National Gas Transmission (NGT) intends to invite interest from suitable Economic Operators to pre-qualify and tender for the delivery of new compressor installation at high-pressure gas compression sites. The procurement relates to new compressor installation required at St Fergus Terminal to ensure compliance with MCPD legislation (Medium Combustion Plant Directive) by 2030. The procurement will consist of a pre-qualification of Applicants, shortlisting those to be invited to tender for lots and then a competitive tender of those shortlisted for each lot. The future works will include but not be limited to; early feasibility design, detailed design, engineering procurement, construction and commissioning of 3 new compressor unit(s) at St Fergus. New compressor train equipment will be procured separately by National Gas Transmission and free-issued to the installation contractors procured via this procurement event. Following the completion of the tender evaluation period, Contracts will be awarded for the Works (Design-and-Build) to the successful Contractor for LOT 2 St Fergus.
