Description
Canterbury City Council (‘the Council’) having entered into a contract for the provisions of Car Parking solution and equipment, including ANPR in 2018 is intending to enter into a further contract with the current provider by making use of Regulation 32 (2)(b) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended). The reason for this is that the Council believes that due to the equipment currently installed, the services can only be supplied by the current contractor and that there is, for technical reasons, no completion available and therefore no tenderer who would be able to provide the services with the current equipment. The Council therefore proposes to enter into a further contract with the current provider until the end of the lifecycle of the equipment, namely until 18.06.2027 following which the Council will enter into a new contract following a competitive procurement process.
