Description

The Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) issued an invitation to tender to the open market for the provision of antiques and works of art valuation services across the entire FCDO global estate. The services includes establishing and completing a global valuation programme which delivers to the FCDO's financial reporting requirement (IFRS), that requires that antiques and works of art (AWA) within the FCDO estate are well managed, correctly recorded and accurately valued in annual accounts. The scope of services included valuating 16 Overseas posts AWA collections. The collections include but are not limited to, such items as Furniture, Carpets, Chandeliers, Silverware, Glassware, China, Tapestries, Sculptures, Decorative arts & Paintings. Tenders were sought from the open market who were capable of carrying out the services. Following the submissions of ITTs and evaluation based on the Most Economically Advantageous Tender, Golding, Young and Mawer were appointed as the Successful Supplier.
