Description
The London Borough of Merton invited tenderers to submit their Tenders in accordance with the instructions set in the ITT for the provision of community opportunities for adults with a learning disability and mental health needs. The aim of these services are to encourage and assist all vulnerable adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, physical disabilities, autism and people whose behaviours may challenge, who meet the Authority’s assessment criteria to access day care and support services as set out in the Care Act 2014 and any other relevant regulations to live independently and stay healthy.
Lot Division
1 | Lot 1 - Support to access and attend community activities. Community Support services will promote inclusion through supporting people to access mainstream and universal activities based on Service User interests, skills and hobbies. |
2 | Lot 2 - Access to life skills development and training. A life skills development approach will be core to the activities of the service, enabling Service Users to grow and develop skills in areas which are meaningful to them and maximise their independence. The service will work with Service Users at the point of referral and support plan development to identify community groups and activities based on goals and areas of focus and interest. |
3 | Lot 3 - Access to employment and maintaining employment. This service will be expected to create a clear pathway to enable a Service User to access and move into paid employment within an organisation. This will need to be undertaken at a realistic and Customized pace which reflects the Service User’s aspirations and expectations based on evidence of outcomes being met.
