Description

This procurement is being led by Lincolnshire County Council on behalf of North Kesteven District Council.

Lot Division

1 Mechanical Sweeping

Lot 1: Mechanical Sweeping The mechanical sweeping of highways, streets and roads including carriageways channels. Sweeping footpaths, passages, pedestrianised areas and other paved areas by manual or mechanical methods.

2 Litter Picking and Street Scene

Lot 2 - Litter Picking and Street Scene: The removal of litter (including sharps) and other discarded items from footpaths, verges, flowerbeds, pedestrianised and other paved areas, embankments, ditches, roundabout, lay-bys etc. The removal of graffiti, fly posters, general dirt and dead animals.

Renewal Options

There will be an optional extension period of two (2) years following a further two (2) years, the ultimate date of expiry should all extension periods be taken is 30th June 2032.

Other Information

This Contract is for the supply of ‘Mechanical Sweeping’ and ‘Litter Picking’ throughout the area of North Kesteven District (NKDC). The Supplier shall be responsible for the provision of this Agreement, liaising closely with the North Kesteven District Council’s Waste and Street Scene Manager or their deputy. The Supplier shall provide a service which complies fully with the requirements of the Environmental Protection Act 1990: Code of Practice on Litter and Refuse and Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005. The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (and as amended) shall also be met in the Supplier’s delivery of this service demonstrated via the Suppliers Safety Policy. The Supplier shall be responsible for the provision of vehicles, plant, equipment and depots necessary for the efficient execution of the Contract. All vehicles, plant and equipment included for use on the public highway shall at all times be in a roadworthy condition so as to ensure compliance with any statutory requirements.
