Description

It is an exciting time for Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham’s (LSL) Sexual Health Outreach work. Lambeth is intending to commission Outreach Services across LSL with the aim to improve access and outcomes of populations disproportionately at risk of sexual and reproductive ill health. These populations are also known to face challenges and barriers in accessing mainstream services. The Authorities are seeking to commission a Sexual Health Outreach Service and the intension is that the service will be procured as three separate contracts (three lots). These lots will work together as part of an alliance. The three target groups for the services include: • Lot 1: People’s Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV Outreach. • Lot 2: Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV Support for Marginalised Groups • Lot 3: Targeted Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV prevention for Black African, Black Caribbean, Latin American and other Minoritised Ethnic Groups.

1 Young People’s Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV Outreach

The provision of a face-to-face engagement and outreach service that targets and supports young people, particularly vulnerable young people and those with intersectional characteristics who experience a wide range of social and health inequalities. It is envisioned that this service will also include the management of the condom distribution scheme and providing support for mainstream and special schools in implementing the RSHE curriculum. 2 Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV Support for Marginalised Groups

The provision of support to existing organisations and community groups This includes capacity building and upskilling of staff to enable them to address and meet sexual health needs immediately where appropriate. This will also include the provision of in-reach or mobile sexual health clinics for inclusion health groups where they are and provide a chaperone function to support vulnerable individuals to access mainstream services. 3 Targeted Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV prevention for black African, black Caribbean, Latin American and other minoritised ethnic groups

The provision of a face-to-face engagement and outreach service that targets and supports minoritised ethnic groups, particularly those with intersectional characteristics who experience a wide range of social and health inequalities. Service provision: Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham
