Description

The Bridges comprise the following: - Selby Swing Bridges o Selby Town Swing Bridge, o Cawood Swing Bridge, o A63 Bypass Swing Bridge, and - Whitby Swing Bridge The service objectives for the procurement exercise are as follows: • Carry out the maintenance tasks for the operation of each bridge in accordance with the requirements in the Bridge Operating and Maintenance Manual (O&M Manual). • Maintenance tasks to be carried out at the intervals defined in the O&M manuals. • Provide an emergency 24-hour call out service for all bridges to provide the services as required. The Contractor shall attend the affected property no later than 3 hours after receiving the notification that their services are required. • Undertake any additional specific Task Orders in respect of the maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics & control equipment of the bridges, as well as more general maintenance tasks. • To liaise with NYC Bridge Team with respect to the services and provide advice, recommendations, and reports to help ensure the continuous and safe operation of the bridges. • To undertake an annual review of the scheduled maintenance and overall service to ensure it is appropriate to the conditions • Keep the Risk Register updated
