Description

NHS Shared Business Services Limited (NHS SBS) and North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NOE CPC) act in an Agency capacity for and on behalf of its customers (Approved Organisations) - existing and new. These comprise of NHS and Social Care organisations (whether acting individually, or on behalf of, or together as members of any consortia) along with any other public or private sector bodies which NHS SBS and NOE CPC authorises to use the resulting Framework. NHS SBS and NOE CPC are working in collaboration with each other and intend to put in place a replacement Framework Agreement for the provision of Tech Devices - Link 4 and related Goods and Services to be used by Approved Organisations. The resulting framework will replace the existing IT Hardware and Services framework (Link3) / Digital Workplace: Hardware (Link3) Approved Organisation list can be found on: NHS SBS - https://www.sbs.nhs.uk/supplier-information/framework-agreements/ NOE CPC - https://www.noecpc.nhs.uk We are committed to working with suppliers who are dedicated to Sustainability and Social Value and there will be a significant weighting on these elements in the tender. NHS SBS and NOE CPC are consulting on the proposed tender for the provision of IT Hardware and associated services to support the procurement requirements of the NHS and wider public sector organisations. To help define and develop our procurement strategy and help in the development of our service specification to meet the needs of our customers, NHS SBS and NOE CPC are engaging with potential providers prior to the release of any official tender documents in Contracts Finder and Find a Tender service portal. The aim of this PIN and Request for Information (RFI) questionnaire is to notify the market of our future plans, to gauge interest in this opportunity and obtain feedback from providers of IT Hardware and Associated Services, including but not limited to Desktops, Laptops, Tablets, Mobile Phones, Printers, Scanners, Specialist Healthcare related IT products and Refurbished / Remanufactured Devices. The proposed Lots are as follows: Lot 1 - Tech Devices, Peripherals and Associated Services Lot 2 - Specialist Healthcare Related IT Hardware Lot 3 - Printing & Scanning Devices Lot 4 - Refurbished / Remanufactured Devices The framework agreement will be open to NHS bodies as well as the wider public sector.

Lot Division

1 Tech Devices, Peripherals and Associated Services

This Lot is for the supply of products and services including but not limited to: • Desktop computers (including small form factors, micros, all in ones, thin/zero client devices) and peripherals (including monitors). Includes warranty and lease options, deployment services, as well as green/sustainable options. • Laptops/ Notebook devices, rugged devices, two in ones, thin and lightweight clients and peripherals. Includes warranty and lease options, deployment services, and green/sustainable options. • Mobile devices including but not limited to Tablets, mobile phones, Slate devices (wraparound, detachable, phablets), wearables and peripherals. Includes warranty and lease options, deployment services, as well as green/sustainable options. • Any associated services such as recycling and secure disposal services.

2 Specialist Healthcare Related IT Hardware

Products available include (but not limited to) Mobile Carts including PCs, body worn equipment, Extended Reality (XR) equipment including AR, MR and VR, Infection control products, Mobile Clinical Assistant Devices, for use in point of care and mobile environments plus peripherals. LCD and HD monitors, large format, multi display mode Monitors and Displays suitable for end user applications including but not limited to PACS, endoscopy, mammography plus peripherals including wall mounts. Includes warranty and lease options, deployment services, as well as green/sustainable options as well as any associated services such as recycling and secure disposal services.

3 Printing and Scanning Devices

This Lot includes standalone Print and Scanning technology to enable tracking and traceability within corporate, healthcare and retail environments. Products include but is not limited to office and medical prescription printers, 3D printers, label printers, other medical printers, asset scanners, barcode scanners, to include barcode verification/identification and peripherals. Includes warranty and lease options, deployment services, and green/sustainable options as well as any associated services such as recycling and secure disposal services.

4 Refurbished / Remanufactured Devices

This Lot includes but not limited to refurbished and/ or remanufactured devices such as desktop computers, laptops, notebooks, mobile devices, printers, scanners including recycling and secure disposal services.

Please note that this a Prior Information Notice, and therefore NHS SBS and NOE CPC reserve the right to amend or alter the scope and lot structure according to further market research. NHS SBS and NOE CPC also reserve the right to not publish a corresponding contract notice should the procurement not proceed further. NHS SBS and NOE CPC have asked suppliers to complete a short Questionnaire as part of our research into this marketplace. Please note however that suppliers are not mandated to complete this questionnaire in order to bid for or obtain a place on the framework. Suppliers can download the questionnaire via Atamis. The completed responses must be returned via Atamis by no later than 12:00 noon, Monday 3rd June 2024. The value provided in Section II 1.5) is an estimate. We cannot guarantee to successful suppliers any business through this Framework Agreement. Spend and volumes may vary throughout the life of the Framework Agreement from the anticipated levels given in this notice. This early market engagement exercise does not guarantee that a Procurement will take place and NHS SBS and NOE CPC reserve the right to defer from any Procurement entirely. NHS SBS and NOE CPC will use an eSourcing system for any procurement activity taken subsequent to this PIN and reserves the right to use an electronic auction.
