Description

In 2015 the Trust was awarded the contract to deliver Paediatric and Adult Special Care Services in Cheshire West, Chester and Wirral and has continued to deliver this service to the present day. The Trust has commissioned Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHFT) to deliver the service in Cheshire West and Chester since the start of the contract. NHS Cheshire and Merseyside have issued a Personal Dental Services Agreement Variation Notice to amend Clause 16, contract end date from 31st March 2024 to 31st March 2025. The Trust therefore intends to continue subcontracting arrangement with BCHFT to enable the delivery of the contract in Cheshire West and Cheshire.

Total Quantity or Scope

The intention is to award this contract to an existing provider using direct award process C The value of the 12 month contract is £606,949 The service will provide a timely assessment service and subsequent provision of an exodontia service for children using GA, conscious sedation, or any other appropriate patient management system. The episode of care may include other treatment such as simple restorative care, sedation and acclimatisation as appropriate.
