Description
The Suffolk Dementia Support Service is due to be procured shortly by Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (SNEE ICB) with the new contract commencing April 2025. As part of the procurement process we would like to invite prospective bidders to our Market Engagement Event, via Teams, on the morning of Wednesday 5th June 2024.
Total Quantity or Scope
The overall aim of the Suffolk Dementia Support Service is to empower people concerned with their memory, diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment or dementia across the county of Suffolk (West and Ipswich and East but excluding Waveney), their carers, and wider family, to live as independently, safely, and well, for as long as possible within their communities. The service will be visible and community facing with a proactive focus on promoting early identification, providing a personalised response, and signposting people to appropriate support within their local neighbourhoods. This will include talking with people to help them to understand and manage the impact dementia has on their lives and make informed choices in planning for their future. The service will work to bring together, simplify, and coordinate timely and appropriate high-quality information, advice, and support, ensuring this is paced according to individual needs and requirements. Support will also be provided to carers and the wider family to improve their health and emotional wellbeing, and help equip them with the resilience, tools and practical strategies required for their caring role.
