Description

This contract is for the provision of a nurse led homecare service to administer intravenous COVID-19 neutralising monoclonal antibodies to eligible community patients registered with a GP in Surrey Heartlands in line with NICE TA878. The contract is required following notice being served since which time patients have been provided with oral antivirals with IV therapy reserved for individuals recommended by their specialist service. IV administration has needed to be delivered at a specialist centre in the absence of an infusion service at home. The service is required as soon as feasibly possible in the interests of patients. Surrey Heartlands ICB is intending to follow the Most Suitable Provider Process to award a contract under The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.

Following engagement with potential suitable providers for this service, considering the key criteria and applying the basic selection criteria in a fair way across all, the Awarding Authority has decided to halt the Most Suitable Provider process in favour of a Competitive Process which will be launched in the near future.
