Description

This service is intended to provide assistance for residents experiencing health inequalities to maintain basic toenail care, which can cause significant health challenges and exclusion from access to other health services. This project has been designed to target specific cohorts of the population where there is greatest need. This is something that is only necessary for most people 3 to 4 times a year to prevent toenails becoming a hindrance to walking and moving around. Long term conditions - to support patients living with a long-term condition in Hackney to live a longer and healthier life. Health inequalities - to address inequalities across the City and Hackney Place, this project has been designed to target specific cohorts of the population where there is greatest need by preventing toenails becoming a hindrance to walking and moving around. There is also an increased risk of falls for some patients unless this issue is addressed. This notice expresses an intention to award a contract under the Most Suitable Provider Process under the Provider Selection Regime. The lifetime value of this service is £65,000. This is a new service with a new provider.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 05/07/2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR. This decision was made on the basis that the winning bidder was the only one of the 5 bidders to pass all of the stage 1 pass/fail questions. Furthermore, the provider scored well on the basis of their responses to the key criteria questions.
