Description

This Technical Description concerns the supply of 60-kV 40-A Air-insulated 3-phase/12-pulse full-bridge diode rectifiers. The quantity of rectifiers to be delivered is five units, of which one is a pre-series, plus two further units in option. The estimated value for this activity is 200k – 750k CHF

Total Quantity or Scope

The Supply shall include the following technical deliverables and activities: • Detailed Design File (DDF) (3D STEP files, bill of materials, datasheets, etc.); • Submodule pre-series (one unit); • Full bridge rectifier unit Pre-series (one unit); • Full bridge rectifier unit series manufacturing (four units); • Mechanical assembly, and optional high voltage divider integration; • Technical documentation (drawing, tests reports, component datasheets, etc.); • Factory Acceptance Tests; • Packing of the Supply; • Shipping to CERN, if so requested; • Transport of all materials and tooling required for the proper installation, commissioning, and maintenance on the CERN site. CERN will make available the following equipment and/or services: • Dismantling / decommissioning of existing installation / system; • Unloading and handling of the diode rectifiers inside the CERN site; • Cabling; • Installation and commissioning on CERN site

Other Information

Following this Market Survey, an Invitation to Tender will be issued in Q3 2024 with the subsequent Contract scheduled to be awarded in Q3 2024. The Contractor shall deliver the DDF to CERN within 6 weeks from the Contract placement. The Contractor shall deliver a rectifier sub-module within 3 months from CERN’s written acceptance of the DDR. The Contractor shall deliver the pre-series of a full-bridge rectifier unit within 6 months from CERN’s written acceptance of the pre-series rectifier sub-module. The Contractor shall deliver the series to CERN within 6 months from CERN’s written acceptance of the pre-series full-bridge rectifier. Variants may be considered through discussion with CERN at the Market Survey stage. Options may be considered through discussion with CERN at the Market Survey stage. CERN is funded by a consortium of global nations and also receives funds from EU sources. It is an NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) and therefore is not directly subject to EU regulations. This contract is not expected to be bound to any specific EU rules. Please note that even though the ‘official’ stated deadline on the market survey has passed, the contract remains open until the Invitation to Tender is issued.
