Description

NHS Staffordshire & Stoke on Trent Integrated Care Board (ICB) sought to commission a Community Gynaecology service which will come into effect from the 1st July 2024. The contract is now awarded under the NHS Standard Contact for a period of 3 years, with the option to extend for a further 2 years.

Total Quantity or Scope

NHS Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board have completed a formal procurement for Community Gynaecology Services across the ICB areas. The Find a Tender Service (FTS) advertisement was published on the 20th December 2023 instructing interested parties to submit a bid between the 20th December 2023 and the 5th February 2024; the notice reference was 2023/S 000-037493. Services will commence from the 1st July 2024 for a period of 3 years with the option to extend up to 2 years. The service will deliver a consultant-led community gynaecology service which will incorporate triage, diagnosis and management of a range of general gynaecological conditions. The service will be located within the geographical boundaries of Staffordshire, ensuring equity of access for local populations.

This contract is for clinical services which are light touch regime services for the purpose of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 as specified in Schedule 3 of the Regulations ('Regulations'). Accordingly, the contracting authority is only bound by those parts of the Regulations detailed in Chapter 3 Particular Procurement Regimes Section 7. The contracting authority is not voluntarily following any other part of the regulations. As the ICB is a relevant body for the purpose of the National Health Service (Procurement, Patient Choice and Competition) (No 2) Regulations 2013 these regulations also apply to this procurement. All dates, time periods and values specified in this notice are provisional and the contracting authority reserves the right to change these.
