Description

Road Weather Monitoring Service and Monitoring Station Maintenance\r \r Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of a remotely monitored Road Weather Monitoring service, to include bi-annual calibration and maintenance of the two existing weather monitoring stations which are fitted with Findlay Irvine supplied equipment.\r \r The system will be used to monitor the following:\r i. Road depth temperature \r ii. Road surface temperature\r iii. Air temperature\r iv. Relative humidity\r v. Precipitation \r vi. Wind speed \r vii. Wind direction \r viii. Surface state\r ix. Web camera images \r \r The Council is looking to appoint a Contractor to: \r 1. Provide and support a monitoring service, including the provision of GRPS communications for the two weather monitoring stations,\r 2. Carry out annual pre-winter and mid-winter calibration and maintenance at each weather station,\r 3. Carry out repairs and upgrades where required.\r \r The initial contract term will be for 60 months for a potential total contract term of 5 years as stated in the ITT documents.
