Description
The BBC requires a Data Catalogue. This requirement sits with BBC Product Group and specifically the Data Governance team. Product Group's vision is to 'create the world's first digital media organisation with public service at its heart' and Data Governance support this with their vision for 'trusted data to support a data informed BBC.' The Data Governance team has a pan BBC remit. The Data Catalogue tool will enable the BBC to meet their objective of 'connected, discoverable and governed data.' The Data Governance team will have primary responsibility for implementing and maintaining the tool.
Total Quantity or Scope
The estimated contract value is £1.2m over the initial 5 year contract term, including the optional 24 month extension period.

The contract has an initial 5 year term, plus an additional optional 24 month extension period.

Other Information
In the case of technology requirements, the BBC may involve its technology partner (Atos IT Solutions and Services Limited) to assist in the scoping and drafting of invitations to tender and/or the evaluation of tenders. However, the final decision as to which is the most economically advantageous (by reference to the award criteria) will be made by the BBC. The awarding authority reserves the right not to award a contract and to annul the procurement process at any stage. Tenders and all supporting documents must be priced in sterling and all payments will be made in sterling. The contract shall be subject to English law. The awarding authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest, or any tender and reserves the right to accept part of a tender unless the tenderer expressly stipulates otherwise in the tender document.
