Description
Suicide Bereavement and Postvention Service Previously followed most suitable provider process, no bids were received.
Total Quantity or Scope
The service will provide timely, effective, and appropriate emotional and practical support to adults who are bereaved or affected by suicide, to help the grieving process and support recovery. The service will provide outreach and effective responses to the aftermath of a suicide. The service will provide information of support available for families and friends, enabling choice over what to access, such as individual and group counselling, and when. The provision will also include access to postvention support for staff working in mental health services. We envisage the service to be delivered by both statutory and voluntary providers through a collaborative partnership model. This is an intention to award a contract to an existing provider following direct award process C. Lifetime value of contract: £575,667 £418,667 - 2 years 8 months (£157,000 per full year, £104,667 for 8 months) £157,000 - 1 year extension 01/08/2024 - 31/03/2027 with the option to extend by 1 year

Legal Justification
This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice,. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 29/07/2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.

For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 29/07/2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR. Representations should be sent to ciosicb.procure@nhs.net. The award decision-makers: Adult Mental Health, Learning Disabilities & Autism Strategic Commissioning Team, Director of Finance, and Head of Commercial Services, Contract Manager, Procurement Officer. No conflicts of interest declared. COI is managed using the ICB COI process along with NHSE COI guidance and the PSR reg 21 and guidance. The 5 key criteria are all equally relevant for this service and therefore we have weighted them all 20%. The existing provider is satisfying the original contract and will likely satisfy the proposed contract to a sufficient standard.
