Description

The Scottish Government’s Marine Directorate (“The Marine Directorate”) invites a tender from a suitable contractor for a 24 month period commencing in March 2024, or as early as possible, for the supply of consultancy services to undertake statutory environmental assessments for approximately six - eight months, with additional support requested during the remaining period.

Total Quantity or Scope

This tender will contribute to the development of Scotland’s second National Marine Plan (“NMP2”). The statutory reviews of the current National Marine Plan (2015) in 2018 and 2021 concluded that, while the plan remains effective, there have been several national and international developments contributing to the need for it to be updated. This tender is for the provision of consultancy services to conduct the Strategic Environmental Assessment (“SEA”) and Habitats Regulations Appraisal (“HRA”) [collectively referred to as the “Assessments”] as required by Scottish and UK marine environmental legislation.
