Our goal is to provide insight that informs policy in relation to online misogyny. Specifically, we wish to: Understand user journeys towards enabling online misogyny. In particular: develop an understanding of how individuals are drawn into communities that engage in and encourage online gender-based violence and abuse map user behaviours on different points of the user journey when engaging or encountering online misogyny explore the platform contexts that may enable misogyny Understand the ways in which media literacy impacts online misogyny. provide a picture of how levels of media literacy shape individuals' understanding of their actions online and the impacts of those actions explore the differences that may exist between on and offline behaviour and attitudes Understand potential media literacy interventions. identify the points along the user journey where media literacy platform interventions designed to reduce online abuse and misogyny might be most effective
