Description

The Department for Science, Innovation & Technology (“DSIT” or the “Buyer” or “the Authority”) commissioned a Tender through RM6126 - Research and Insights DPS. This project is to conduct: • a short research study to quantitatively investigate how the use of LLMs can make synthetic biology accessible to non-experts. • The Supplier should develop (in close iteration with AISI) and run a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) where groups of people with varying levels of biology expertise conduct a biology task in a laboratory with the support of • google-based internet search • a state-of-the-art LLM • a human expert.
