Locally commissioned GP & Pharmacy services in Kingston Upon Thames. GP and Community Pharmacy services are very specific and specialised and there is no direct competition that would be able to deliver these services. Contracts rely on patient information that only local GPs have access to locally Commissioned GP & Pharmacy Services cover both mandated and non-mandated functions aimed at improving the health and well-being of the local population. These include: - Chlamydia Screening and Treatment - Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) - NHS Health Checks - Needle Exchange - Supervised Consumption
Total Quantity or Scope
Individual contracts awarded to locally commissioned GP & Pharmacies in Kingston Upon Thames for the provision of services.These include: - Chlamydia Screening and Treatment - Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) - NHS Health Checks - Needle Exchange - Supervised Consumption The contracts will be awarded for an initial period of 3 years from 1st April 2023 to 31 March 2026, with the option to extend by a further period of 2 years until 31 March 2028.

Legal Justification
GP and Community Pharmacy services are very specific and specialised and there is no direct competition that would be able to deliver these services. Contracts rely on patient information that only local GPs have access to. Regulation 32 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, which allows for the use of the negotiated procedure without prior publication where competition is absent for technical reasons.
